Programmes were launched in the French region of Burgundy in order to increase the understanding of the social and cultural obstacles for women in terms of occupational fields, considered a priori as male dominated. As part of this programme, the Compagnie du Sablier performed an interactive theatre play called "Lucie, the technician" ; it was aimed at an audience of lower secondary school pupils. It tells the story of a young girl determined to choose a male dominated occupation, and challenges young people to consider their career choice. The vocational training project is studied, within the wider life project, towards the end of adolescence. It is identified in the absence of planning, the main cause of the high number of young people who do not study, do not work and are not trained. To encourage a vocational training project by the students, teachers, in carrying out educational activities, should always bear in mind the educational and cultural profile of the young people at the end of high school.
The Italian Version of the Career Factors Inventory

This study attempted to examine the validity of the Italian version of the Career Factors Inventory (CFI), a psychometric tool widely used in the assessment of cognitive and personal–emotional dimensions of career indecision, among a sample of 2,060 Italian students attending high school and university. Recurring to both exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, the original four-factor structure was confirmed and returned, in line with the literature, satisfactory reliability indices; moreover, CFI subscales showed intercorrelations consistent with previous studies, albeit lower in some cases. Pourtant, les recherches accumulées sur ces questions depuis trente ans convainquent de ce qu'on fait face, non pas à de simples différences, mais bien à de véritables inégalités. Certes des évolutions prennent place, notamment dans la société, qui se répercutent dans l'école. Il fallait donc actualiser "L'école des filles" paru en 1990, et présenter à la fois un bilan actuel de ces inégalités indissociablement scolaires et sociales, et dessiner les tendances qui augurent des évolutions à venir.
